Privacy Policy

Citynow Asia Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "our company") hereby establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this policy") regarding the handling of users' personal information in the quantum computing service Quapp (hereinafter referred to as "this service") provided on this website.

Article 1 (Personal Information) "Personal Information" refers to "personal information" as defined by the Personal Information Protection Law, and it includes information about a living individual that can identify a specific individual based on descriptions such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, and other information that can identify a specific individual, including data related to appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and insurer numbers on health insurance cards (personal identification information).

Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Personal Information) We may ask for personal information such as name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver's license number when users register for use. We may also collect personal information about users from our business partners (including information providers, advertisers, and advertisement distributors; hereinafter referred to as "business partners") regarding transaction records and payment information between users and business partners.

Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information) The purposes for which we collect and use personal information are as follows:

  1. To provide and operate our services.
  2. To respond to inquiries from users (including identity verification).
  3. To send emails about new features, update information, campaigns, etc., of the services being used by the user, and information about other services provided by our company.
  4. To contact users as needed for maintenance and important notifications.
  5. To identify users who violate the terms of use or attempt to use the service for fraudulent or unjust purposes, and to refuse their use.
  6. To allow users to view, change, delete, and view their registered information and usage status.
  7. To charge users for fees for paid services.
  8. For purposes incidental to the above purposes.

Article 4 (Changes to the Purposes of Use) We shall change the purposes of use of personal information only when it is reasonably recognized that the purposes are related to those before the change. In the event of a change in the purposes of use, we shall notify users of the changed purposes by the prescribed method or publish them on this website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties) We will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the user, except in the following cases. However, this excludes cases permitted by the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations:

  1. When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent.
  2. When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the person's consent.
  3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency or local public entity or a person entrusted by them to carry out the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining the person's consent may hinder the performance of such affairs.
  4. When the following matters have been notified or announced in advance, and we have reported to the Personal Information Protection Commission:
    • The purpose of use includes providing to third parties.
    • Data items provided to third parties.
    • Means or methods of provision to third parties.
    • Stopping the provision of personal information to third parties at the request of the person.
    • Method of accepting requests from the person.

Regardless of the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following cases do not fall under third parties:

  1. When we outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use.
  2. When personal information is provided due to business succession through mergers or other reasons.
  3. When personal information is jointly used with a specific person, and the person has been notified in advance or is in a state where the person can easily know about the items of personal information jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purposes of use by users, and the name or title of the person responsible for managing the personal information.

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information) When requested by the person to disclose personal information, we will disclose it to the person without delay. However, if disclosure falls under any of the following, we may not disclose all or part of it, and if we decide not to disclose, we will notify the person without delay. A fee of 2,000 yen per request will be charged for the disclosure of personal information.

  1. When there is a risk of harm to the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the person or a third party.
  2. When there is a risk of significant hindrance to the proper conduct of our business.
  3. When it violates other laws and regulations.

Regardless of the provisions of the preceding paragraph, we will not, in principle, disclose information other than personal information such as history information and characteristic information.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information) If a user finds that the personal information held by us is incorrect, the user can request correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "correction, etc.") of the personal information according to the procedures specified by us. If we determine that it is necessary to respond to the request based on the investigation, we will correct the personal information without delay. We will notify the user without delay when corrections, etc., are made based on the user's request or when we decide not to make corrections, etc.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information) If a user requests the suspension or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") of personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the purposes of use or was obtained by fraudulent means, we will conduct the necessary investigation without delay. Based on the results of the investigation, if it is determined that the request should be responded to, we will suspend the use of the personal information without delay. We will notify the user without delay when the suspension of use, etc., is made based on the user's request or when we decide not to suspend the use, etc. Regardless of the preceding two paragraphs, if the suspension of use, etc., incurs significant costs or it is difficult to implement, and if alternative measures can be taken to protect the rights and interests of the user, we will take these alternative measures.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy) The contents of this policy may be changed without notifying the user, except for matters otherwise specified in this policy or laws and regulations. Unless otherwise specified by us, the revised privacy policy will take effect from the time it is posted on this website.
